Romeo and Juliet, Royal Opera House.

By "LondonNet".
The November 27, 2011

Abstract : Presents Opera Room international in London, in England.
Romeo and Juliet is tragedy's William shakespeare. Written by the beginning of her career. This opera presents the story, two young lovers.

Extract : "With Kenneth MacMillan's first full-length work for The Royal Ballet, both he and the Company struck artistic gold - the June performances at The O2 Arena once more proved the ballet's enduring hold over audiences. The timeless story, best known from Shakespeare, matched to the fine score by Prokofiev provided the starting point for what has become a 20th-century ballet classic: an international calling card for the choreographer and a signature work of The Royal Ballet. The two title roles are star ones indeed, reflected especially keenly in the three pas de deux that mark the lovers' journey from first meeting to consummated love and finally to tragedy in the tomb. Around them the life of Verona plays out in vivid colour, whether in its bustling market place or a grand ball. There are noble families and their feuds, sword fights and harlots, the informality of youthful friendship and the formality of power and wealth. All these dramatic contrasts are presented through exquisite choreography in rich and colourful designs. Whether for the variety of its drama or the demands of its choreography, Romeo and Juliet has long proved itself one of the most appealing of all ballets to newcomers and fans alike."

Presentation of the "Café Régalade", in Canada.

GILL, Alexandra, Café Régalade's rich French cuisine warms you against the dreary winter, The Glob and Mail, November 25th, 2011.

Abstract :

Presents a café who names "Café Régalade". It is specialized in french cooking. Located at the 2836 West 4th Avenue, in Vancouver, in Canada, this restaurant is managed by Steeve Rayé. He is a famous culin, he worked with Olivier Bajard and Joël Robuchon, in London. This café is decorated as "La Belle Epoque".

Quotation :

"When the weather turns cold and dreary, no cuisine shakes the dampness from the bones better than French country cooking.
Although plenty of local bistros do an excellent job of executing the classics, none offer soul food as rich and hearty as West Vancouver’s La Régalade. And now that the Rayé family has opened another restaurant – Café Régalade in Kitsilano – we don’t have to cross the bridge to scarf it.

Operated by Steeve Rayé (son of Alain, a two-time Michelin star-winner and proprietor of the West Van flagship), this casual sibling restaurant offers a similar carte of simple stews and slow-braised cheap cuts, all swaddled in the holy trinity of wine, cream and butter.

Café Régalade launched last year as a pastry shop to showcase the sweet skills Mr. Rayé had honed as a student of the famed Olivier Bajard in southern France and at Joël Robuchon’s L’Atelier in London. Alas, the bakery concept didn’t float. After a two-month hiatus, it reopened in March as a licensed bistro with clichéd café curtains, belle époque poster art and a whimsical pig-themed décor."
