Joel Robuchon French Restaurant: Star-Struck.

TAYLOR, Mark, Joel Robuchon French Restaurant: Star-Struck, Alexan Black Mountain ApartmentsFebruary 21, 2012.

Abstract : This article presents the famous french chef Joel Robuchon, his cuisine and his restaurant in Las Vegas.

Quotation : "Joel Robuchon is probably the most celebrated French chef in the world – he operates a dozen restaurants in New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Tokyo and other locations, and between them he has more Michelin stars than any other chef working today. His Las Vegas outpost is his crown jewel, however, and is widely considered to be one of the best restaurants in the world. Robuchon spares absolutely no expense in sourcing ingredients for his menus, and a meal here – although it will set you back a pretty penny – will be one to remember your whole life. The main dining room has a scant twelve tables, so it’s incredibly difficult to even get a reservation. If you really want to splurge, go for the sixteen-course tasting menu, which will take several hours to work through. Some decadent signature dishes include caviar over Dungeness crab, truffled langoustine ravioli and unbelievable foie gras."

Fast Food the Healthy Way: A Guide

• BAUER, Heather. Fast Food the Healthy Way: A Guide, Huffpost Healthy Living, February 17th 2012.

Abstract:

This paper presents a nutritional guide to follow when going to eat fast food. The nutritionist offers balanced meals rather than prohibiting eating in fast food, which are increasingly present in our consumer society.

Quotation:

“Let’s be real, everyone loves fast food. (Whether or not you want to admit it, but there's something about French fries that really gets people going.)
As a nutritionist, it's hard for me to approve calorie-laden burgers, milkshakes or double decker bacon-filled ranch-dressing-topped nutritional nightmares. They're not providing a ton of good nutrients, and instead are passing along sugar, fat and carbohydrates that will leave you feeling sluggish in its place.”

Quotation:

Recently a new study has shown that drinking diet soda results in compromised vascular health, contributing to stroke, heart attacks and vascular death. The research showed that people who drank diet sodas daily were more likely to suffer a vascular event.
There is already a large amount of evidence mounting to suggest that these and other products that use artificial sweeteners have serious effects on our health, contributing to obesity, diabetes, mental health problems, and heart disease.
