Drug Cartels Hiring Texas Children for Drugs Trafficking - Allvoices

Abstract: A lot of young peoples, under than 16, sometimes as young as 11 years old, are recruited in the US by drug's cartel, to work along the country in order to smuggle drug, sometimes as murderer like Edgar Jumenez Lugo, 14 years old, native of San Francisco. Actually the Children's Right Network of Mexico says that more than 30000 children under 18 are working for a drug Cartel, principally because of their constitutional immunity under 14 years old.

Quotation: "Mexican drug cartels, in a disturbing new trend, are luring young people from Southern California to smuggle drugs across the border and carry out other illicit work for the criminal enterprises" "The recruitment of children and adolescents can be explained, in part because children under 14 have constitutional immunity against being held criminally responsible for their actions, even for the crimes of murder, kidnapping and torture"

Paranormal activity 4, oh yeah !

By Admin About.com Horror
The January 2, 2012

Abstract : After the success of Paranormal activity 3, a new Paranormal activity is coming : Paranormal activity 4 of course !

Quotation : With Paranormal Activity 3 earning over $100 million at the US box office this year, it was only a matter of time before a sequel was announced -- and now is that time. In a press release summary of Paramount's 2011 film slate, the studio officially declared its plans for a fourth entry in the Paranormal Activity franchise. No details were provided other than the fact that it will be released in 2012 -- presumably around Halloween, as the previous three films were. This should be a pivotal entry in the series, since PA 3 filled in so many of the story gaps that it will be a challenge to build as much of a sense of mystery the fourth time around.

• ISRANI, E. Study finds minimal effects for fast-food toy ban, The Stanford Daily, January 1th 2011.

Abstract:

Presents the results of a study which shows finds minimal effects for fast food toy bon. In 2010, a law was passed so the restaurants offer more healthy menu for children.

Quotation:

“A Santa Clara County law mandating health standards for children’s meals accompanied by free toys has had limited effects, according to a recent study by the School of Medicine.
The study, which tracked businesses’ reactions to an Aug. 2010 law, documented menus, prices, restaurant signage and whether incentives such as toys were being offered, among other criteria. Published Dec. 8 in the American Journal of Preventative Medicine, it found that restaurants did not increase the number of healthy items on their children’s menus, as hoped.
“This ordinance gave us the opportunity to study a real-world example of a private-sector response to a public health policy,” said Jennifer Otten, lead author of the study and a postdoctoral scholar at the Stanford Prevention Research Center.”
