Extract: “Let us recognize it, to speak about the TCR always impresses little. To the point that the club accuses even today the weight of certainly over past, but always present in the spirits. A club, established in June, 1920, on the initiative of count Maxence of Polignac, on the period when tennis was a sport reserved for a social elite. A club was drawn by Edouard Redon, the big landscape architect at that time (he realized in particular the Park Pommery). A club of which we became member only by being sponsored dument. Where the school of tennis bore Suzanne Lenglen's name, marvellous champion of the beginning of the 20th century by insuring moreover personally the direction in 1938-1939. ”
